Description
On 3/12 the Grand River down stream from the Moores Park Damn was chocked with foam that looks like soap suds. This foam gathered on branches and in the coves and was three feet thick in places. Really gross looking. Is this a natural, or pollution?

This is a link to an online brochure from the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). We could use it as a guide, and you'd probably have to get closer to it to inspect the qualities of the foam that would help tell if it is pollution or natural.
Could also contact the Michigan DEQ directly, I bet they will either know the answer, or know how to help you get the answer, it's part of what they do.
I've noticed the foam too, and I am also interested in the findings. I live just down the road from Moore's park and the coal plant. The coal plant being there makes it seem like it could be pollution, but it's also a natural phenomenon...Hopefully someone has already been on that issue, but if not, maybe its up to you to find out!
