I'm reporting this on behalf of Larry Gilchrist, who called SeeClickFix HQ today. He had seen the Al Jazeera interview with our CEO, and was amazed at the concept. He wanted to know how he could get involved, or start seeing it in his part of Florida. We eventually discussed the issue that follows.

When traveling west on Alico Rd. from I-75, the road ends at Rt. 41. There is a left-turn lane for traffic heading South on 41, a center lane for entering America Outdoors Blvd, and a right-turn lane for heading north on 41. Since most of the traffic is heading north, the right turn lane backs up with cars. The result is that it often takes two or three cycles of the red light to pass through the intersection.
A simple fix would be re-signing the arrows to allow right turns to be made from the center lane. Theoretically this would double the turning capacity, cutting wait time in half.
